It’s Participatory Budgeting Vote Week! Get to the Polls!

It’s Participatory Budgeting Vote Week from March 25 – April 2. It’s time to select the winning community ideas to be funded. City Council Member Brad Lander’s Participatory Budgeting (PB) ballot features 10 capital projects competing for $1.5 million and 8 programming projects competing for $50,000. You can vote for up to 5 capital project and up to 3 programming projects. The winning projects are funded by the council member in the coming fiscal year!

Local Project Highlight:
Cobble Hill Health Center is on the ballot for $7,500 in programming funds to fund Creative Engagement for Alzheimer’s Patients & Training for Caregivers. That would support weekly visits from local artists to enrich the lives of elders with Alzheimer’s & train caregivers.

The only requirements to vote are that you live in the district and are over 14 years old. Take your kids to vote for the first time! Eligible voters must simply sign an affidavit to confirm age and residency in the district. You can also vote online for the first time this year.
