Cobble Hill Association Membership
There are two types of CHA memberships, personal memberships (for individuals) and our Community Partner Program, which is a membership for local brick-and-mortar businesses in the Cobble Hill Historic District, plus directly adjacent streets (if you’re not sure if you fall in the geographic scope, email chacommunitypartner@cobblehill.nyc).

Personal Memberships
Why join?
★ The CHA speaks for Cobble Hill. When you join, you add your voice to those who care about our community, increasing our ability to advocate on your behalf.
★ A membership allows you to join a committee and take a more active role in your neighborhood.
★ Access to sign ups for limited space events like Halloween Window Painting.
Personal memberships are free, though we hope you’ll consider supporting the CHA by choosing a membership level with an optional contribution to our 501(c)(4) (Because the CHA is a 501(c)(4), donations are not tax-deductible.). Only people who live within the historic district can vote in elections, but we welcome anyone who wants to support the CHA’s efforts.
Community Partner
Why join?
As a Community Partner, you’ll have a chance to speak directly to our passionate supporters and to show your love for the Cobble Hill Community. Community Partner’s also receive the following benefits:
★ A story on our Instagram @cobblehillbk (>3,400 mostly hyper local followers) featuring your business
★ Your logo, website, and preferred social media handle, plus a one sentence business description on the CHA Shop Local page, which will be linked in our newsletters (received by over 2,000 community members)
★ The option to offer discounts and special offers to CHA members directly
★ A CHA logo sticker to put in your window to let folks know you are an active member of the Cobble Hill Community
Cost to join starts at $150.00 for the year, with the option to give more as a contribution to the CHA, which is a 501(c)(4). If you already have a personal membership under your email, you can add this as a second membership type. Please note, you need to affirmatively opt-out of auto-rebilling (it’s clear on the site).
What does your membership support?
Community Events & Community Service
The CHA hosts or sponsors a number of annual events to bring the community together, including Summer Concerts in Cobble Hill Park (the first three Tuesdays of July), Halloween Window Painting, the Cobble Hill Halloween Parade, and Holiday Caroling.
Information Distribution
The CHA interacts with the community and neighboring associations by sharing information on, among other things, local construction, traffic, safety, upcoming events, and local elections.
Maintain Cobble Hill Park and Upper Van Voorhees Dog Park
Two dedicated CHA Committees enlist volunteers to help maintain the plantings and structures of our two public parks.
Advocate for Cobble Hill
The CHA advocates for the Cobble Hill community with city and state agencies and elected officials on a whole range of issues, e.g., BQE, traffic, development of the former-LICH site, trash, safety, and more. The CHA also helps advocate for neighbors on an individual level, using its resources and connections to help resolve often small, but still important, quality of life issues, e.g., potholes, missing pedestrian crossing signals, or broken street lights.
Beautification
Through our Clean Up Cobble Hill committee and relationship with the Cobble Hill Tree Fund, the CHA works hard to preserve the beauty of our neighborhood.
