Smith Street Fair
Sunday, June 25 at 12:00pm
Smith Street, Smith Street
Brooklyn,, NY
The Smith Street Fair has been running for 23 years always the last Sunday in June.
It is 8 blocks long (Union St. to Bergen St.) and features the best food, drink, crafts and clothes Smith Street has to offer. It is specially curated by the non profit community advocacy org. South Brooklyn Local development Corporation. This year the Court Smith BID steering Committee and Pop Up NYC are co-sponsors.
For over three decades SBLDC, overseen by Bette Stoltz, has advocated for all neighborhoods of the South Brooklyn community, representing it’s housing, retail commercial, industrial, youth services, job training, education, transportation, environmental and open space/parks needs and concerns. In her absence her Daughter Erica has been assumed the event co ordinator role.
We are also please to mention that Community Board 6 has made a motion to the City Council to co name Union St. between Third Avenue and Court Street Bette Stoltz Way to honor her service to the community and inspire citizens to follow in her footsteps.
