Buck And A Quarter is the NYC-based string band that plays forgotten gems and favorites of the golden age of American pop and vintage-inspired originals in a category-defying style, described as ‘skiffle meets Cole Porter’ and ‘what do you call this kind of music?’ Since 2014, Buck And A Quarter Quartet has appeared regularly at great clubs and venues throughout New York City, including Sunny’s Bar, Skinny Dennis, Luckydog, Jalopy Tavern, Anyway Café, Pete’s Candy Store, Rockwood Music Hall, Joe’s Pub, 11th St. Bar, Superfine,  and more.  They appear the third Wednesday of every month at Barbès, have had long-running residencies at Freddy’s Bar, KGB Bar’s Red Room, SISTERS Bklyn, and Jimmy’s No. 43, and have also played throughout the northeast at venues including the Tri-State Jazz Society and The Pennsylvania Jazz Society.
