As part of its construction, Fortis is set to redesign the three Henry Street parks on the former LICH campus – which are privately owned public spaces. As stipulated by the NYC Parks Department and the 1995 Agreement between LICH and the City establishing the parks, Fortis must get input from the public on its proposed redesign.
This is the first meeting where Fortis is engaging the public on the envisioning process. It is vital we have a strong showing so they know how important these spaces are to our Cobble Hill community.

The community will see designs by Fortis Property Group and its architects for the sitting park located on Henry Street at Pacific Street (Northwest corner of the 347 Henry Street development). While the two playgrounds may be referenced, the focus of this meeting is on the sitting park.
This meeting will be conducted in a break-out session format. Public feedback and comments to the proposed designs will be gathered and consensus will be sought. Unfortunately, this park has been in disrepair for some time and has been closed for much of the past two years during demolition and now construction of 347 Henry Street.
WE URGE THE COMMUNITY TO COME OUT AND GIVE IMPORTANT INPUT AND COMMENTS.
Some day the construction will be done and gone and we can finally use our public spaces in peace and enjoy this corner of the neighborhood. HOPEFULLY!
