NYC shuts down work on LICH building after wood blasts across street, damaging windows, car

The NYC Buildings Department slapped a Stop Work Order on Fortis Property Group’s Polhemus building being redeveloped at the site of the former Long Island College Hospital in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn on Thursday after high winds blew plywood and other unsecured construction materials off its roof, causing damage across the street.
